Information Worker Community Day 2010 Rocks Malaysia!

Information Worker Community Day 2010 was held on 10 December 2009 at Monash University Sunway Campus. Co-organized by Malaysia SharePoint User Group (SPUG), The Extraordinary League of IT Experts (ELITE) and Microsoft Innovation Center to bring you the latest showcase of Microsoft latest Information Worker products which covers SharePoint 2010 and Office 2010. 10 MVPs (Poo Ching Loong, Patrick Yong, Wouter van Vugt, Loke Kit Kai, Steve Sofian, Randy Williams, Sarbjit Singh Gill) from Netherlands, Malaysia, USA and Singapore and community leaders showcased Microsoft’s latest Information Worker products, reaching out to ~ 100 attendees who share common passion in Office 2010, SharePoint 2010 and Exchange 2010.


All these would not be possible without the hard work of both SharePoint User Group (SPUG) and Extraordinary League of IT Experts (ELITE) which both are charters established in TechNation. Highlights as followed:

 1 day event with 2 tracks for both IT Pro and Developers. Average evaluation score all above 7.0

–  Technical sessions focus on SharePoint 2010 (80%), Office 2010 (10%) and Exchange 2010 (10%)

  Customers and partners who registered include Sunway, Mampu, Sapura, Telekom, ING Insurance, MIMOS, LHDN, Telekom, and MDEC

–  10 speakers consist of MVPs and community leaders from Netherland, USA, Malaysia and Singapore (5 are SharePoint MVPs)

–   >80% attendees asked for return of the event next year with approx. 65% don’t mind paying for more quality contents

–  The event website recorded 360 unique new visitors from Nov 5 – Dec 10 with ~600 visits
